Geely in Switzerland 2026: prices, models and dealers
Geely Auto arrived in Switzerland in the third quarter of 2026: the Emil Frey Group is the official importer for Switzerland and Liechtenstein, and geelyauto.ch publishes Swiss franc prices for three models. As of 20 October 2026, the official list starts at CHF 19'990 for the E2 electric small car, CHF 29'990 for the E5 electric SUV and CHF 36'990 for the Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid SUV, before a temporary bonus. The official dealer search lists 10 garages, all in German-speaking Switzerland: none in French-speaking Switzerland, Geneva or Ticino.
Where Geely stands in Switzerland on 20 October 2026
In June 2026, Geely Auto appointed the Emil Frey Group as its official importer for Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein, with the launch announced for the third quarter of 2026. The legal notice on geelyauto.ch names GZ Automobile AG in Härkingen (SO), the company that handles import and distribution according to Automobil Revue. The same group already imports Zeekr, another Geely brand in the SinoDrive catalogue.
The launch took place in September 2026 with a brand event in Zurich, where the E5, E2 and Starray EM-i were presented. The Swiss website now offers a configurator, test drive booking and a quote request, in German, French and Italian.
Geely Auto belongs to the Chinese Geely group, which also runs Lynk & Co and Zeekr. Geely Auto was founded in 1997 and is based in Hangzhou. In Switzerland each brand has its own importer and its own network: you cannot buy a Geely from a Lynk & Co partner, or the other way round.
The three Geely models sold in Switzerland
Geely E5 (called EX5 in other markets): a 4.62 m fully electric compact SUV with a 160 kW front motor, a 60.2 or 68.4 kWh LFP battery depending on the version, and DC fast charging up to 135 kW. Geely Switzerland quotes up to 475 km of WLTP range for the Pro+, a provisional figure until type approval is final. Two versions: Pro+ and Max+.
Geely E2: a 4.14 m five-seat electric small car with an 85 kW rear motor and DC charging up to 80 kW. Geely Switzerland quotes up to 345 km of WLTP range (provisional) and 375 to 1,320 litres of boot space. Three versions: Pro, Max and Ultra.
Geely Starray EM-i: a 4.74 m plug-in hybrid SUV that pairs a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor. Geely Switzerland quotes 83 km of electric range for the Pro (provisional) and 528 to 2,065 litres of boot space. Three versions: Pro, Max+ and Ultra. Geely states that the Starray EM-i received five Euro NCAP stars; the Swiss website also claims five stars for the E5.
More models have been announced but are not yet in the Swiss range: a large plug-in hybrid SUV planned for 2026, not confirmed for Switzerland, and full hybrids from 2027, according to Automobil Revue on 17 September 2026.
Swiss prices and taxes
List prices published on geelyauto.ch as of 20 October 2026: E2 Pro CHF 19'990, E2 Max CHF 21'990, E2 Ultra CHF 24'990; E5 Pro+ CHF 29'990, E5 Max+ CHF 34'990; Starray EM-i Pro CHF 36'990, Max+ CHF 40'990, Ultra CHF 42'990.
A "Hi Geely Bonus" is deducted from these prices: CHF 1'000 on the E2, CHF 2'000 on the E5 and CHF 3'000 on the Starray EM-i, giving starting prices of CHF 18'990, CHF 27'990 and CHF 33'990. The offer runs until 31 December 2026 unless withdrawn earlier. The list price remains the stable reference; check the promotional price on the day you order.
Swiss taxes: customs duties on industrial products were abolished on 1 January 2024; the 4% automobile tax applies to the import value, electric cars included; VAT is 8.1%. The European Union applies a 10% duty plus countervailing duties of roughly 7.8% to 35.3% on electric cars built in China (Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2754). In Germany the E5 starts at 37,990 euros: that German price cannot be compared directly with the Swiss one.
Warranty: geelyauto.ch quotes 8 years or 200,000 km on the whole vehicle including the battery (at least 70% remaining capacity), plus 12 years against corrosion perforation. Ask for the exact terms, and whether they transfer to a later owner, in writing before you sign.
Where to see and test drive a Geely in Switzerland
As of 20 October 2026, the dealer search on geelyauto.ch lists 10 garages offering sales and service, all in German-speaking Switzerland: Emil Frey Ebikon, Emil Frey Baden (Oberrohrdorf), BUGA Buchental Garage (Oberbüren), Sportgarage Kuratli (Altstätten), Garage Gisler (Erstfeld), Meyer Rigi-Garage (Küssnacht a.R.), Müller Talbach Garage (Zell LU), Bächliwis Auto (Bachenbülach), Garage Härtsch (Rickenbach SO) and Autocenter Burkhard (Niederbipp).
On that date the list has no garage in French-speaking Switzerland (Geneva, Vaud, Fribourg, Valais, Neuchâtel, Jura), in Ticino, Basel or Graubünden. Before you travel, ask the importer in writing where the nearest Geely outlet is.
The importer says it is still building its network and is looking for new dealers, so the list will change. Test drives can be booked through the form on the official website or directly with one of the listed garages.
How Geely compares with other Chinese brands in the catalogue
The Geely E5 (CHF 29'990 list price) enters a price bracket where the catalogue already lists many electric SUVs. Prices from the SinoDrive catalogue: Leapmotor B10 CHF 29'900 (434 km), MG MGS5 EV CHF 29'990 (340 km), smart #1 CHF 35'190 (310 km), Lynk & Co 02 CHF 35'995 (445 km), BYD Atto 2 CHF 36'990 (430 km), Zeekr X CHF 37'990 (445 km) and XPENG G6 CHF 43'600 (570 km). On paper the E5 sits at the low end of this bracket with a quoted range above most of these models, pending final type approval.
The Starray EM-i (CHF 36'990) competes with plug-in hybrids: MG HS PHEV CHF 34'990, Leapmotor C10 Hybrid EV CHF 37'900 (range extender) and BYD Seal U DM-i CHF 42'990. The E2 (CHF 19'990) joins small electric cars such as the Leapmotor T03 at CHF 16'990, the BYD Dolphin Surf at CHF 20'990 and the MG4 EV Urban at CHF 21'990.
The brands linked to the Geely group in the catalogue aim higher: Zeekr (7X from CHF 53'990), Lynk & Co (01 from CHF 43'995) and smart (#5 from CHF 49'700). Geely Auto covers the group's entry level. Always compare version, equipment and warranty, not just the headline price.
Requesting a quote and following the launch
For a written quote on a Geely or on a competing model from the catalogue, use "Get an offer" on SinoDrive: your request is passed on free of charge to a dealer in your region or to the official importer. You can also use the quote request form on geelyauto.ch.
Is Geely available in Switzerland now? All three models have published prices and can be configured; ask in writing for the delivery time of the version you want. Is the bonus guaranteed? No: it runs until 31 December 2026 unless withdrawn earlier. Who handles after-sales service? The garages on the official list, all of which offer sales and service as of 20 October 2026.
Prices, network and models may change before the end of the year: this page reflects the situation on 20 October 2026. For announcements, check geelyauto.ch and the Geely group brand pages on SinoDrive.
